We have been hearing a lot about stem cell banks and cord blood banks and about stem cells in general with the breakthrough made by scientists and the debate around the use of human stem cells. This would allow scientists to understand better how various diseases like cancer for example work and appear. The development of public and private stem cell banks is a result of the growth of studies and also results on stem cells, as well as the discoveries that have been made and the increasing possibilities that stem cells can help in the treatment of some diseases.
