| The "blame game" is very seductive. It feels good to point the finger at someone else and privately or publicly admonish them for their role in our pain. It is much easier to blame other people for the reasons why we are stuck in our story, rather than face the fact that it might be our own choices that have gotten us here.
All choices naturally lead to certain outcomes. It is the way life works. No matter what happens to us we always have the opportunity to take responsibility for our life. |

| If you say or think "I can’t do that," immediately tell your mind in a firm tone: "cancel," "delete," "stop" or "get lost." Doesn’t matter - you can use a word that works for you. If it feels silly, that’s OK. It works. Mentally repeat: "I can do it. If I don't know how, I will learn or ask for help." |

| By developing a positive state of mind, both her inner and external life has changed. Sarah became happier and more content with her life. If you have a negative attitude toward a certain issue, then you would probably anticipate hardship, failure and disappointment, and therefore prefer passivity and refraining from taking action. On the other hand, if you display a positive attitude, you would most likely anticipate success and positive results, and therefore pursue your goal assiduously. |
